Boarding Rates

(per night)

Dogs $22.00

X-Large Dogs (100lbs & up) $30.00

Difficult Boarder charge with previous bite/aggression history (any size ) $35.00

Roommate boarded in same run are $2.00 less per night.

Boarding with any medications to be administered will be a extra charge per day $6.00

Additional charges will apply for all nail trims, grooming, baths to go home, and play-times requested while your pet is here

We will board your unneutered Male cat but in a seperate area.

**Please plan to drop your pet off no later than half an hour before closing time!

Reservations

There will be a 50.00 non refundable Deposit to hold your holiday reservations for Thanksgiving and Christmas Vacations.

It is required that all boarding and grooming clients have reservations prior to coming to board or be groomed to insure that we have the space and the time for your pet. This is especially important during holidays and school vacation weeks.  You should plan to call for all prime holiday vacation weeks at least 2 weeks ahead, we will require a Fifty dollar deposit to reserve your space which will be applied to your boarding invoice at the time of your pets check out. Prime weeks are during Thanksgiving, Christmas, February school vacation, April school vacations., and Labor Day week.

Vaccination Policy

For the safety of all our boarders and grooming clients, we request that all pets have current vaccines and medical problem history as well as written proof of current vaccination status if they are not clients of Kittery Animal Hospital before they are boarded or groomed.

All pets if found to have fleas or worms on arrival will be treated on the way in at the owners expense. 
                                   
Veterinary Care

Your pets health is important to us. Our established clients can request that annual vaccination and routine exams be done while boarding or grooming with us. Please request this with your reservation and confirm when you check your pet in.  From time to time emergencies may prevent us from getting to your routine vet cares and they may have to be rescheduled as regular appointments. We do strongly recommend that all annual vaccine exams be scheduled with a veterinarian.

NOTE: Kittery Animal Hospital has professional staff available 7 days a week to care for the boarding and grooming animals should your pet become sick or present any signs and/or symptoms of illness during the stay, we do not have overnight coverage.

Medication

We are able to give oral medications that your pet may needs during its stay. Please bring the medication with you in original container, along with directions on how it is to be given. There is a  additional charge for medication administration per day. Special needs animals such as diabetics require boarding care under the hospital supervision and previous history about their condition.  These must be seen in by one of our veterinary technician staff members and will be charged at a different rate.

Special Diets

We can cater to your pets special dietary needs. We have experienced pet food nutritionists on our staff to help give just the right diet for your loved ones. We currently feed our boarding dogs Hill's Science Diet Sensitive Stomach and our boarding cats Science Diet Adult Maintenance. Animals with special needs diets are no problem for our trained staff.

Own Food

Please label the food with your pet's name and feeding instructions. Please bring individually bagged portions for each required feeding for the number of days your pet boarding.

We believe bathing & grooming are essential to a healthy pet. We offer state-of-the-art dog grooming facilities with professional grooming stylists. From shampoos, hair cuts and flea treatments - to exotic styling, pedicures, skin care, and moisturizing treatments, your pet will go home looking great as well as feeling great! All of our dog grooming services are available by daily appointment, or can be scheduled with boarding arrangements for the day your pet is to go home.

Pick-up time for boarding animals that are groomed is after 3:00pm

Puppy Play Time

Daily play times can be provided to your special pet. You can choose from a variety of one-on-one activities depending on your pet. From active play like ball catching to a peaceful, easy stroll or cuddle. We can also do a 15 minute brush and rub. Each guest is given undivided personal attention. And, of course, lots of petting is always included.

Belongings

Your pet may bring:
*Medication(s) (in their original packaging, labeled correctly) * Its own food or treats * A toy from home * An articles of clothing / towel or small blanket from home * Rawhides or Natural Beef Bones
Please label ALL of your pet's belongings, we will do our best to return them in good condition.

Please do NOT bring:
*Water or food bowls * Sticks, limbs or other wooden toys * Brushes or grooming equipment *Choke or Prong collars * Pet beds, we will supply bedding!

*Plan on taking your dogs leash home with you
